Stephen Bulat is a composer, arranger and musician based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. His diverse arrangements include string quartets, a cappella groups, pop/rock band combos and his specialty, lead sheets.
Stephen's arrangements are interesting, diverse and unique. In his string quartet arrangements, each instrument is given equal importance creating a tight knit musical fabric weaving the melody from instrument to the next. His pop/rock combo arrangements are detailed and well laid out.
As a working musician, and always keeping that in mind, Stephen creates easy to follow lead sheet arrangements with a clear roadmap that have all essential musical cues, song hooks and rehearsal markings throughout. Each arrangement is "gig tested" to ensure it can be easily read on the bandstand, with a larger font than typical fake book charts and with minimal page turns.
